Dedicated to excellence and devoted to healing since 1908, Mercy Medical Center, is a ministry of the Sisters of Charity Health System which operates a 476-bed hospital serving Stark, Carroll, Wayne, Holmes and Tuscarawas Counties and parts of Southeastern Ohio.  It has 620 members on its medical staff and employs 2,500 people.

Our client is seeking an experienced Director with excellent customer service, communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.  Strong clinical skills with ability to react decisively in emergency situations. Possessing the skills and knowledge in management, financial management, and human resource management with a business development mindset to expand the service line.

The Director of Respiratory Services, under the direction of the Chief Nursing Officer, works in collaboration with senior leadership as well as interdisciplinary management and staff to maintain program excellence through the application of an interdisciplinary partnership. The Director of Respiratory Services will be a licensed Respiratory Therapist who manages Mercy Medical Center’s Respiratory Therapy, Vascular Laboratory, Sleep Center, Out of Center Sleep Lab, and Neuro Diagnostics Departments and services with 5 direct reports.  The Director of Respiratory Services will provide oversight and leadership for department operations ensuring department activities align with the strategic goals and objectives of the organization and supports the patient experience.


  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in respiratory therapy required. Graduate level degree in clinical specialty or business     
  • Licensure/Certification: Current Ohio Respiratory Therapy license required.
  • Experience: Three to five years of respiratory therapy clinical experience required with five or more years of experience preferred. Minimum of two years of management experience required.
